My Final Story

I'd feel sick without this smile on my face
Haven't felt failure in awhile
It doesn't seem so long since I was enthralled
At the very thought of checking out
I held a mirror to all my thoughts
It feels different now that I'm involved If this is my final story, let's get it right Leave no regrets along the way
And let the people say, that "he gave it a good fight" You'll see these chapters aren't the same
Each page, each page
Don't try and turn that page on me
Is this the final passage now?
I cut no corners when the going got tough
At least that's what I told myself
Mistakes were scattered when two wrongs made a right
Now the audience can see my intervention
