Upon the Lamb of God They Suckle No More
No joy will be found in the songs of praise they sing
To the heavens they'll channel their odes of worship
While storm clouds manifest
The seas shall close with a fury without compare
Their crops will fail, flocks will perish
Faith paves the road to despair
Their hearts will be as stone
Barren as their impregnable fields
The blood was the life
Now all they know is dust and bone
Upon the lamb of god they suckle no more
Every seed they sow shall spore into tragedy
Every stone upturned will be devoid of god
When two or more are gathered in his name
No divinity will still the water of their anxious hearts
Their hearts will be as stone
Barren as their impregnable fields
The blood was the life
Now all they know is dust and bone
Upon the lamb of god they suckle no more
Their hands have created temples in his name
They elevate themselves to the status of he who is without sin
They fumble to dislodge the splinter from their neighbors eye
Never content with the terms their book of the law dictates
Only we
We spirits who have found ourselves to be free
Enlightened and liberated we understand
That which those before us couldn't
We surge with integrity
Our hearts pump instinct and passion
We stand defiant in the face of the lie
That holy lie
And the songs of praise they sing
To the heavens they'll channel their odes of worship
While storm clouds manifest
The seas will close with a fury without compare
Their crops will fail, flocks will perish
Faith paves the road to despair
Their hearts will be as stone
Their hearts will be as stone
