Beyond the Corner
I am the werewolf on my mind,
My claws are sharp,
And when the fullmoon's rising high,
I'm on my hunt.
I am the predator, I don't dig the ground
While searching for my meal,
And I never howl too loud,
I must hear your scream!
The night is full of horror,
Your mind is on fear.
You have a life to borrow,
And I'm always near.
You can't escape --
I'm everywhere.
You see my claw.
I want your gore!
I see meat below my feet!
O, shit! They've found me!
I say goodbye to my food.
Thank you, people,
For what you built --
For all your tunnels and dark tubes.
Under the ground!
I am the werewolf on my mind,
And when the daylight comes,
I hide my cunning smile,
And I am none in the crowd.
