HURRICANE BILL
I was rolling in it was a Friday night
You had been forewarned why did you not take flight
You stood on your will
I could reach across the darkened sea and sky
You were still a beacon in my one good eye
Yet you stood still, I’m Hurricane Bill
Bringing you a boatful of surprised exiles
Caught between Bermuda and the Leeward Isles
Most of them ill
Now I’m turning faster and I feel alive
Probably a category four or five
Head for the hills, I’m Hurricane Bill
I could never separate you from your wits
With a friend like me you don’t need benefits
I’ll hover until, linger until…
Maybe I can sway you with my storm force gust
I’m not like the others let me touch your trust
Stay very still, I’m Hurricane Bill
