MAN O WAR
Grabbed my coat and I went outside, looked for peace at the riverside
Got some coffee and I hit my stride, to weekend waters where the city hides.
Grabbed that coat and threw it on the shore
When I came here all my clothes were clean, now I live and sleep in these old jeans
Something happened to me in between, but that memory slate has been wiped clean.
And I don’t know what I’m living for
Man O’ War with his sword, never seen this kind of man before.
They say this winter they’ll be no relief, but what can a man do but cling to belief?
Just when the cold wind ushered in the grief, I saw a tree that still had one last leaf
T’was a symbol not to be ignored
Man O’ War with his sword never seen this kind of man before
Man O’ War with his sword never been this kind of man
