Stiff-Head Syndrome
Well she said to me that I was bringing her back
To meet her in the alley by the railroad track
My heart is saying yes but my friends say no
And my body started moving saying go, go, go
Grab my guitar and then I take things slow
Thinking maybe we could play a little rock and roll
Pull up in my car just a little bit late
Doesn't matter what the hour is, we're still feeling great
She was looking at me and I was looking at her
I was using my mind I could find the words
To tell her what a dime she just happened to be
But she still gave me a smile that was setting me free
I started moving forward and she held out her hands
Saying, baby we can start a little rock and roll band
Pulling in the Chevy through the city of lights
There's a nymph in the air but I'm still feeling alright
The city went and saw me in my part of drive
She's one hell of a girl for one hell of ride
Stay with this girl, I'll be willing to die
No matter what the cause is she'll always be mine
Well tonight's the night that I'll be holding her hand
And everything's so perfect, I'm not making a friend
Grab a couple drinks from the back of the bar
Then I put on my jeans and then I start up the car
[?] I'll just bring my guitar
I can already tell this thing's gonna go far
Pulled up to her house just a little bit late
She was standing there with a smirk on her face
She got in the car saying, "what should we do?"
I said, "Darling, believe me I got plans for you."
I got us a gig and we were playing a jam
She was banging the drums just like I thinking she can
The crowd was going crazy we were having a ball
We were playing so loud we could have torn down the wall
Yeah
The gig was over and the music was done
And we made a couple dollars, she said: "take it and run."
I took her to her house at the end of the night, then she gave me a kiss and I was feeling alright
She got out of the car and then she vanished from sight
Then I said to myself, what a hell of a night
