Your beauty is not lost on me though i may seem calm focussed on some point before focussed some place beyond you're tempted to apply the phrase but change it just for me you say i can't see the forest because i'm one of the trees but whatever it is you show me it'll take my lifetime to unsee the city is a guessing game what's happening in front of me? is that guy bent down to tie his shoe or shooting up between his toes? i'm tempted to apply the phrase but change it just for tonight to a good man is hard to find or so says mr. Right but whatever it is you call it that'll be its name for me like a can on a shelf or the blank back of a knee the artifice of the obvious alone can make us free so i'm tempted to apply the phrase stamp it on eternity hang it from the doorknob dear what you get is what you see your beauty is not lost on me
