Higanbana

Sayonara mata doko ka de aeru to ii ne to
Tsumetai chiisana te wo nigirishimeta mama
Wakasugita ano hibi wo omoidaseba hora
Soko ni wa kirei na hana akashirokiiro

Mado no soto nagamete wa kare hatete shimaisou
Watashi no kokoroui sora ni inoru kara
Kono hoshi wa kimi hakanakute nido to wa kaeranai kara
Semete irodori wo soete sora* ni saku hana
Aitakute mo aenai kara ano shunkan wo uranda
Azayaka ni sakimidareta kono higanbana**

Mado no soto furiyamanu ame wa kanashimi nurasu
Ano hi no kimi no egao kasane awaseteta
Kono hoshi wa kimi hakanakute nido to wa kaerenai kara

Nakanaide mou nakanaide miageta sora wa hirokute

Ato dore kurai namida nagasu no darou

Kono sora no imi sae mo wakaranai mama

* The lyrics say 'tenjou' (heaven, paradise) but Makoto says 'sora' (sky).
** The 'higanbana' is a flower of the Lily species, with particularly beautiful red flowers. In the title the name of this flower has been written with the proper kanji, which mean 'flower of the equinox'. In the lyrics it is also written in another way, in which 'higan' means 'longing'.
*** 'betsuri' (parting, farewell) is swapped with 'wakare' which means the same thing.
