Gorgeous Greenery
They grow along roads and fences
Everywhere even in our faces
The greens that soothe the soil
Which burn and boils
How brave of them - or any one or any thing
To grow despite the ignorant voices igniting
The flames of unfounded rage and foolishness
Fools, fools, they are - never the ones who grow
The fools grow only tired
Perhaps from always being so vile
The greenery grows not knowing that they're on the menu
So plant a few seeds and nourish yourself at least - won't you?
You - yes, you - you needn't become like them
Like the vile foolish exterminators, damm them!
If ever I knew pride it was in these gorgeous greens
And all the life we'll soon never get to see
