A Prayer To The Sun
My father left this land to me
And i’ll leave it to my son and his sons
It’s our legacy, our reason to live
But the men always want more
I see the emptiness inside their eyes
I never felt this fear in my life
Tell me why they rule the land
And tell me why i need to be a slave
I pray to the sun, to the mother earth
For a new beginning
I pray to the rain, i pray to the wind
For a new beginning for our lives
I hear a thousand voices screaming
And i see my people dying one by one
Brave men begging for their lives
Shame of their women and children
But i stayed and fought when i didn’t have to
I bled evil men when i could have run
Doesn’t matter, i don’t have a choice
I know and see, i don’t wanna die, not yet,
It’s not my time…
I pray to the sun, to the mother earth
For a new beginning
I pray to the rain, i pray to the wind
For a new beginning in our lives
