The Phoenix
An ancient tale only wise men can tell
The secret of eternal life in the grip of the serpent's coils
Wings open, reaching out for knowledge
Chaos and order, life and death
Empires have fallen, heroes have died
But I soar and I fly, centuries is mine
For all my whole life I've been wandering alone
For answers that I can't find
Flames of knowledge are those of my wings
My ashes ain't death, since light I will bring
For I will rise again
Pyres still burn, but purity is lost
The strength of men when all shall end
Wisdom, in such a shame is interred
Symbol of the past only ashes now remain
The Ouroboros watches, its coils unperturbed
Fire is a passage to a new life
Enlightenment soon will come
I will find my true self
A new knowledge within
Eternaly I fly
Wisdom and strength I seek
Evil and good nourish my flames
In æons I'll live, forever I'll burn
An unending cycle, my gift or my doom
Memories are carved in my every feather
I'm reborn
I still burn
