Looking Glass
She sits before her vanity to brush her long black hair
Her eyes are fixed and focused but with much intention in her stare
The looking glass makes promises of fortune and of fame
And whispers many tales of glamour and a plot from which it came
Looking glass - Confide in me
Looking glass - You cried for me
Looking glass - You died for me
Looking glass - You lied to me
It tells her much about the world and people from its past
And reveals that she is not the first and would not be the last
It preaches words of wisdom and of vast philosophy
And of places and of people present that we could not always see
The witching hour close at hand against the clock it could not race
Admiration for her beauty and a thirst for her embrace
It beckons her approach and for a chance to meet her face to face
She reaches through its silver skin and disappears without a trace
