How many times do I gotta vent
All these stages in life have got me wanting to spend my
Energy into so many things and now you know
Your boy is really starting to stress
At times like this, I gotta stop and breathe in
Gotta show love to my girl, my future, and all of my friends
I'll be honest
I get that order pretty mixed up at times and
Apologies don't always cut it when you're playing with knives
Girl, I know it seems like we've been drifting apart
We could take a glimpse back to the beginning and start to rekindle that fire

Believe me when I say that this didn't come just outta the dark
Feelings grow, feelings come, feelings go
If you understand love, you know that it's a process of growth
Not trying to mess with your emotional flow
Now let's focus on the things that have been buggin' the most

Know I could do better at talking and communication
And hitting a quarter-life crisis after graduation
Trying to give my time to those next to me that need attention

Or that chick that gives your boy a couple misdirections
Stop playing games with each other and start to be honest
I mean, you can't open the door to solutions if you ain't even knocking
It's always the other-person-in-the-relationship's fault
Do yourself a favor: look in the mirror and count up the cost
Thinking if you play your cards right, you could hit up the slots
But at the end of the night, all your earnings are lost
True when they say to cherish who's right in front of you
Stick to your plans, don't let 'em keep falling through
