The Piano Movers
Well, we got some beer and we got some rope
We got a little muscle but were short on hope
The stairs are steep and the corners sharp
In time we'll be learning how to play the harp
It didn’t take us long to get it though the door
It nearly crushed our foot as it hit the floor
We knew when it was over we would all be sore
It's just an old piano, but Holy Hannah!
It's gotta been as heavy as a baby whale
Sure we'll lend a hand, but who do you think I am?
And we knew from the start that wе were doomed to fail
So wе doubled up our efforts for a second attack
Felt like trying to go a swimming in a gunny sack
The stairs, they were a squeaking and the plaster's cracked
But those eighty-eight keys kept on smiling back
So we got that thing in a solid jam
It was as easy to get moving as a three-ton ham
It wouldn't even budge against a battering ram
It's just an old piano, but Holy Hannah!
It's gotta been as heavy as a baby whale
Sure we'll lend a hand, but who do you think I am?
And we knew from the start that we were doomed to fail
(Heave, Ho!)
(Heave, Ho!)
So we got that thing in a solid jam
It was as easy to get moving as a three-ton ham
It wouldn't even budge against the battering ram
It's just an old piano, but Holy Hannah
It's gotta been as heavy as a baby whale
Sure we'll lend a hand but who do you think I am?
And we knew from the start that we were doomed to fail
(Heave, Ho!)
