Each Tear
I can't act like they don't fall
Every man can fall just as every man can stand tall
I grew with scars so my skin underneath is probably still soft
Maybe not
Different pain with each tear that drops
I watch them drip, I think of the times missed
And how I wish the moments passed don't eat at us
Oh, how lost time turns to bitterness
And that is no way to live
Pain is not all life has to give, baby girl
Live because the past is the past. It just is what it is
You can feel how you feel
You start as a mountain and then elements happen
All these mini explosions, all this time passing by, now look at the erosion
I started out solid and now I feel so reduced
Alone in a corner where tears are produced
Though the tears fade, we live with the rage
That turns into bitterness creating a cage
A cage's bars vary for everyone
You could get shot to death
But are you scared of every gun?
What about the bullets that protect us?
Tragedy happens and just like that it changed us
Armed with strong emotions so I am dangerous
Tears loaded into my eyes - that's a full clip
You may want to tap out but, baby girl, don't forfeit
You are not weak. There is turbulence simply
At times you feel alone, feeling like man, pain pimped me
But it's OK to release
Shoot that clip until it's empty!
Each tear!
