Answered Prayers

It's hard to write this cuz I've been so hurt
Lost my closest friend 3 years ago
Ever since there's been a void
I've been mad at God saying how could you
Why did you turn my joy into grief
But I've learned along the way
My God's never late
Isn't it crazy God brought a friend as crazy as me
Isn't it crazy God built a community that gets me
I doubted God would ever deliver
I've made amends with unanswered prayer
But through waiting I've found healing
I've received a friend who's always there
Praise God for answered prayers
Now I write this cuz I've learned a lot
I now know the importance
Of the Godly friends I've got
I prayed and I begged for long lasting love
I was hesitant to be happy but then God showed up

We fight perfectionism together

We joke and we laugh
We speak in British accents
We cry and we dive into the Word
And we learn together
Nothing better than being known
Good fathers don't leave children helpless
For too long
