Sunday Drive
If you asked me I would oblige
And without hesitation I'd soon arrive
At the conclusion my favorite pastime
Is going for a Sunday drive
While other plans can often go awry
Or leave me feeling so dissatisfied
The only time I truly feel alive
Is when I'm on a Sunday drive
Some prefer a stroll in the park
While others like the beach just for a lark
Now both of those pleasures I've been known to seek
But there's only one way I like to end my week
Come on I promise to have you back by five
We're going on a Sunday drive
When the destination is unknown
Every hope and dream of ours is free to roam
Perusing the scenery is such a reward
And we'll check out the houses we could never afford
So gather your thoughts make sure your loose ends are tied
I hope you're ready for an afternoon of leisure time
We'll pack up the car and say our goodbyes
We're going on a Sunday
Going on a Sunday
Going on a Sunday drive
