Oppressive consensus
I can't stand it, their faces
Posing in photographs
And on tv screens
And we all know it's not what it seems
Just plain ordinary
I don't like them
Not just a little bit
The laxed attitude has abandoned me
And my solitude alluring me
As my confinement is expanding
Oh, some of the time
I wish I could forget
What I've seen and be rid of it
Nothing moves me
Too much information
This oppressive consensus
Is killing me
Why should we all need to agree
Just to get along here
Something about our times
Excluding unity
Airless compressibility
Trying to address it sensibly
but my patience is declining
Want to buy myself a house with a garden
Want to buy myself a house on a hill
With a view that stretches far into a future
With a promise on a vast and open sky above my head
