We kiss like we would, hollowing the pain and hopelessness to let fill in your warmth
And your eyes, smiling back at me
I can hear the rain telling me “She loves you”
You hold my tears and I caress my hand across your face, pulling your hair behind your ear, and shining is the beauty in your eyes Shining
Your blue sweater, even though February was so cold, you hold me, and so thaws the cold and I cry like august rain
Your fingers interlock in with mine, and you tell me that you love me
I love you too
And I know what they mean when they say words of happiness, when they speak of smiles and wholeness
You held me, and with only your embrace is everything truly okay
Why did you have to hurt me?
