I take the long way and then forget to call
If there's a detour, I'm looking that way now
If no excuses will put me in the clear
I take the easy out, out of here
If it sinks in, I'm still all nerves
This is a first time, to be unsure

Stop your complaining, 'cause it's draining me out
For them it's freezing, yet you think of yourself
Suddenly you want to go hibernate
The tables turn now, I'm the one who is late

I waver in and out, but try to stay still
Then I navigate, right out the windowsill
To keep composure, I lose it massively
In making sure that no one else will see
If there's one thing I know how to find
It's the escape route out of my mind
