Pray

There's so many things I haven't seen yet
I sit and analyze the world on my swing set
i see that there's people filled with hate
but I can't hold on to the darkness at day break
everyday i see the sun rise the same way
and everyday i see the clouds make funny shapes
some people seem ready to leave before they came
like they forgot the reasons why we sing in the rain

i know if you play hard your clothes get stained
i know if you fall down you might feel pain
and i know if you reach out for help when your strayed
it's always easy to find your way

here's a question - why do we stop dreaming?
why would we grow up to believe in not believing?
why would i give up - or ever wanna stop this
when i know together there's nothing we can't accomplish
you've got a reason to live filled with purpose
loosin hope and giving up's something that only hurts us
let your light be one that others can see
as you grow into the person you were created to be
