We'll return to the dirt
Our veins soil to the Earth
Forward the relentless turn
Dust in the air floating in the beams
Held aloft by the so meaninglessly
And yet they gleam, oh so effortlessly
By the nothingness between
The Earth will turn!
The face of a clock, the faces of us
One marches on, one turns to dust
I saw the look in your eyes when at last you finally realized
This was the last time you'd see this world alive
Your marks left traces on my mind
You drew yourself into my timeline
Turn away, our souls dug into fate
So turn on away
We won't wilt today
I saw the world in your eyes and the lines that crossed in our lives
Now just frames in my mind flickering past like stars in the sky
Draping light over my life
Igniting of a flame to defy this good night
