Better Days

I saw it coming,
I saw emptiness and tragedy
And I felt like running, so far away
Then knew I had to stay
And I know when I'm older
I'll look back and I'll still feel the pain
I know I'll be stronger, and I know I'll be fine, for the rest of my days

I notice most things, but I didn't notice the change
It was hot in the morning
Then it turned so cold towards the end of the day
And there's no condensation
I just felt like I was in space
I needed my friends there, I just turned around
They were gone without a trace
