Every Step of the Way

Pulled on my boots and I set out
On that long walk home
Late night I laid down with an angel
But I woke up to find she was gone
I felt the sadness all around me on the sidewalk through
The monday morning rain
And it ruined my boots
But it was worth every step of the way

The dark clouds surrounding me
And I can tell not every walk down easy street
