My former home planet gone, spurring my journey
A humble terrestrial rock birthed by panspermia
Amongst vibrant flora
In a starcluster labeled as Triangulum
The living things flourished, undwindling and undiminishing
Riddled in Ritalin, liberally living
I miss those days of divine relaxation
'Cause bones are all that remains of our congregation
Mass extinction and extermination
Starrs illuminate a lifeless alien abode
Upon making a home, I run along trailblazen roads
To cold mountains where bodies litter dust-laden stone
Hoping to find my people’s tracks hopefully made in snow
But to no avail

Now I survive by autocannibalism
This cave here is my inanimate prison
I burn the carapaces of invertebrates
My stay here’s purposeless; these fumes strangle like tourniquets
I must leave this planet or perish
Along with apparently parried parents and other supremes
No more of this barely lingering nation
I must leave this already dead civilization...

I depart, friends, as the planet splits apart and this part ends
I dart away in mere parsecs
The stargazer starts to starve for companions
A cosmic exodus in an escape pod that I’ve championed
Utter last survivor of them- I came to the realization
My fears of being alone have received confirmation
Never mind the obfuscation- I no longer have hope of seeing supremes replenished in my scope
Lamenting my land, snuffed by a hail of missiles
A lone voice in space, that's my lonely whistle
Bellowing through a vacuum devoid of breath and birth
No consolation for an endothermic heckled worm
But to my credit, I still maintain a sane psyche
Frayed? Might be
I’m afraid my days might be numbered
Frostbit instead of sunburnt
Celestial castaway about to submerge under...
But I have to succeed
Can't let it get to me
