Extraordinary Rendition
Oh elsewhere
I can sniff it at first
I've never seen this place before
But I can smell my grandmother's father's bones
Decaying beneath these floors
Oh, the allure of new experience
And so, sex
Nowadays you can get your sex
In bloody plastic oil spill concentrate convenience
Do you feel the bones that you can't own
Rattle the moans of the loner's vacant cavities
Those echoes of tragedy
And now there's a girl, a boy/void, a poison
And you think oh well
Never was committed to chastity
But anyway hey
You beautiful circus
I've never seen you before
But what our brains just can't quite endure
Is the oh so simple fact we're all derived from one source
Oh elsewhere it's right here with us on the earth
You hear not the cries from the other side of that sliding door
All that they might tell us about the
Type of choices they don't have anymore
And yes, yes, yes, the allure of a dying body's sensory experience
But death what's left but the resonance of your breath
And the carriage east or west that
You did build when you were breathing
But do you feel the bones that you can't own
Rattle the moans of the loner's vacant cavities
Those echoes of tragedy
And now there's a girl, a boy/void, a poison
And you think oh well
These are the perils of free agency
So anyway hey
You beautiful circus I've never seen you before
But what our brains simply cannot endure
Is the oh so simple fact that we're all derived from one source
In doubt and fear I fear and I feel
Felt it all my life amongst my peers
But I refuse to summon that false remorse
To regret or apologize tell lies
'Bout how I've seen this place before
Truth is my skull cracked open
Bleeding light and I was simply informed
If you miss these dancing angels should they leave you
Listen to them breathe you
You will miss them rest assure but
Worry not a prophet knocks at your door
To lay your distant cousin's bones on the carpet of your floor
