I've been painting the night
And the man with the full moon in his hands
He's been spreading the light
In a Godforgotten land
I've been painting the lake
Glittering like his black eyes
If the law is about to break
I'll paint myself there as the sunrise

We've been coloring our dreams
With the same pictures where naked trees are dressing up the moon
And though my heart seemed so very invictuous
I think somebody's gonna break it soon
