I've been shot for trespassing

Tangled up I've been undone

I've been caught in a spider's web
By casting nets and ladies beds

I have seen the kudzu
How it cover's half the south
Its covering my head
And coming out my mouth
I feel like I'm fleeing
Where the trees withstand the flood
I'm careful where I'm walking
Don't want to slip in the mud

The hitch hiker was leading me
To the sweet water at the mountains feet
That forest porch light slapped my eye
The door swung wide a night owl cries

The hitch hiker just cursed his word
Disappeared just as I heard
A bomb shell blast that split the night
It took me down and blew my mind
