You read the morning funnies
And when the funny papers are through
You ditch all our possessions of cereal bowls and spoons
And crawl back to your pillow to snooze
And stick to me like honey sticking to a spoon
Cause you know I like my honey
And a tablespoon won't do
I need more and more honey

Waking up the whole neighborhood for good

But we ain't marching off to any Sunday school
Even though we're told all God's children do
We live on milk and honey, a simple fare it's true
