Joseph’s Trouble
Joseph's trouble started with a dream
And a coat that was sewn with a colorful seam
Who would've thought his own flesh and blood
Would've done what only an enemy would
Sold to slavery left to find
A way to leave his hurts behind
I'm not sure I'd have passed that test
And let my anger rest
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
So hard to let go what hurts so deep
How quickly we forget
God sees things we can't see yet
Well, there just might be some purpose in our pain
Joseph's trouble is such a troubling thing
Egypt was a dry and a desolate place
For a boy torn from his father's embrace
So young and blameless and so alone
Such hurtful memories so far from home
They say time can heal the wounds we bare
But time don't change what put them there
When the memories stir it all up again
It's hard to understand
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
So hard to let go what hurts so deep
How quickly we forget
God sees things we can't see yet
Well, there just might be some purpose in our pain
Joseph's trouble is such a troubling thing
What was meant for spite and pain
Can come around for good again
Until some ray of light breaks through
Your faith may have to comfort you
(Whoa, whoa)
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
So hard to let go what hurts so deep
How quickly we forget
God sees things we can't see yet
Well, there just might be some purpose in our pain
Joseph's trouble is such a troubling thing
How quickly we forget
God sees things we can't see yet
Well, there just might be some purpose in our pain
Joseph's trouble is such a troubling thing
Such a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
Joseph's trouble is a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
Joseph's trouble is a troubling thing
Joseph's trouble is trouble indeed
