Loneliness (Self Pity)

They say loneliness is an island
And self pity it is a mountain
And I guess I'll just make do
I'll settle in and start anew

But I look off that island and wonder
Though I may go under
Would I be happier with friends
Or by myself til the end

I'll look up that mountain and think
Though I may never reach it's peak
Should I learn to love myself
For me and for no one else
