Cellar Serenade

It rains in my garden
Trees swaying in the wind
While tons of roots, a firm grip
Tucked in black soil down constant shade
Leaves breathing, vibrate

Young skin transparent like eyelids
Sucking light neon bright
Veins web pumping seasons
Through and through and through

From my cellar window
The horizon meets the navel of trees
While the grass, a green green line
Above and under in my room in between
Thoughts wonder, sipping

Like smoke ascending curls they move
Leaping flashlights in silence
Spinal history running vertical
Over and over and over

I come with birthmarks
Beaches wave with their womb
Lines to connect a map of notes
So keep your trap shut and your heart open
A riot, pending on courage

And as it raise it sheds on everyone
Fist fighting with what you've got
Falls back down, forced, never changed
