Green Sun

With a pen I drew
A few ambitions for the day
They said don’t betray
What define me
I should not flaunt nor simply trot out
You see, I thought I would change
Like a form for sand towers
It shapes me for the day
Then washed away

Green sun don’t come
You’re unwelcome
You close the blinds out on the day
At high tide you’re so beautiful
But you signify what I hide

When I close my eyes
I see a vision of myself
Swimming in from the shelf
So wide-eyed, un-jaded
And closing the distance fast
I yell, “Turn around, plеase go away!”
But like a fool I swim evеn harder
I am left dismayed
And so afraid

Green sun don’t come
