Where the wind goes to sleep
Trout glide beneath the lily pads
And the tall orange reeds
Now the horned owl calls
Up through red leaves
Who, Who comes rising
Up from the deep?
Two swans with their feathers
Whiter than snow
Twine their necks in a love knot
As gently they float
Hear the soft whispers low
In the sweet water's flow
Who, who comes rising
Up from the cold?
See the blue turtles slip
From the green mossy shore
Down, down they are diving
Downward they soar
See the yellow snake
Coiled in the leaves
Who, who comes rising,
Who do you see?
