An Audience of Mannequins
Deep red rosewood limbs
Silken eyes crawling with flies
Rags of sequin adorned upon you
Reflecting through transparent skin
Discoloured by the sun
Conscious left undone
Cupped hands of mercy
With wings of fire
Look upon them with a distant gaze
Hooked in by cold winds
Of the capital city
Spherical optics
Inanimate objects
Statuesque yet alive
Responses only heard by ones that suffer
In ways untold to most, unravel and decipher
Beside the river of strife, burnt into your mind
Stillness coming to life, in the symmetrical void
Their hearts were made of lead
Holding a demon inside
The stars will collapse in your mind
The curse of the mannequin eyes
I know that you don’t exist
Spherical optics
Inanimate objects
Statuesque yet alive
Unravel and decipher
