Talking To The Walls
Talking to the walls as if they listen to my story
In their silence, size and fading glory
Shouting at the walls
They stare at me
Stop me from breathing
In the peeling painter photos of our memories
But who has never sung their heart out
My voice will ring in time beyond time
The fallen leaves upon the ground
From other distance climbs
Retain their fragile beauty
Retain their soft perfection
Reflections
Talking to my friends
They look away or make me weary
With their games and other forms of subtle fury
Shouting at the crowd
They snub me vie for my attention
Full of secret passions and intrigue
But who has never cried their heart out
Our song will touch us space beyond time
The fallen leaves upon the ground
From other distance climbs
Retain their fragile beauty
Retain their soft perfection
Inside our hearts forever
